This gorgeous light, bright orange that the Pantone Color Institute calls ‘Living Coral’ has been crowned at 2019’s Color of the Year. Pantone says “it represents the energy and comfort called for in a continually shifting environment”.
This is the kind of color one would see it more as an accent, especially in the home space. Something where just a little smidgen of color will go far. But even though this shade of coral is so bright and bold, it's really something we're seeing people of all ages embrace on a larger scale. I can even go as far as imagine it in an entryway or as a bathroom subway tile. In textiles I believe it will lend itself beautifully to bedspreads, cushions, accent rugs and even bath mats. There's just something about the color that feels earthbound and welcoming, optimistic and intimate.
Do you agree? Do you think it lends itself well to the home décor space? Let me know!
