It’s always so amazing to find brands that love what they do because their products have so much soul! When I was introduced to Mehra Carpets I was swept away by their capabilities as carpet manufacturers – it was like looking like art rather than a series of carpets. They just completed 50 years in the industry so I was invited to their Mumbai showroom to see their latest abstract collection – here below are a few of the pieces that really stood out to me and immediately made it to my lustlist Their compositions ranges from wool, silk to viscose depending on the price range, and I must touch upon the fact that these range of carpets range from at least 100 knots to a staggering 2500 knots per square inch, which makes you understand the months of laborious hand work behind each piece. Honestly, I would just want to frame these up on a wall because they are so stunning. Their owner Ruchir Mehra also showed me a recent project by the brand, where they recreated this beautiful abstract by Himanshu Dabral for a client – truly bespoke!
